Outdoor faucets built for our winters

A frost-free faucet drains itself, so it will not freeze and split over winter. We install them and keep them working.

A regular outdoor faucet holds water right behind the wall. When it freezes, the pipe can split and you do not find out until spring, when it floods the wall. A frost-free faucet shuts the water off deep inside the heated part of the house, so the outside drains dry. We install them and we service the ones you already have.

We are a family owned company serving Lake, Manistee, Mason and Wexford counties. We have done this work for over 40 years, and customer service is still our main priority. You get a real person on the phone, an honest quote and work we stand behind.

Installation

  • New frost-free faucets, sized and pitched to drain
  • Replace old faucets that freeze or leak
  • Add a shut-off valve and drain so it is ready for the cold months
  • New hose bibs for additions, garages and outbuildings

Maintenance

  • Fix drips, worn washers and a loose handle
  • Check the pitch so the faucet drains the way it should
  • Seasonal shut-off and drain before the first hard freeze
  • Repair a faucet that already froze and split

Common questions

What is a frost-free faucet?

It is a longer faucet that shuts the water off inside the heated wall. The part outside drains itself, so there is no water left to freeze and split the pipe.

Do I still need to unhook the hose in winter?

Yes. A hose left on traps water in the faucet and can cause a freeze even on a frost-free model. Disconnect hoses before the cold sets in.

Can you replace a faucet that already froze and split?

Yes. We replace burst and leaking outdoor faucets and set up the shut-off and drain so it does not happen again.

Do you give a price before you start?

Yes. You get an up-front price so there are no surprises when the work is done.

Which areas do you cover?
